My Journey Toward Confidence, Clarity & Legacy

Hi Beautiful — I’m Kendra, the founder of KQB Financial, a U.S. Army Veteran, a Certified Financial Education Instructor, and a woman who has rebuilt her life more than once with discipline, faith, and pure determination.

My love for financial education and building a legacy began young.

My dad introduced me to saving early — at age seven, I had my own bank account and debit card, and Saturday mornings meant going to the bank together. Watching my savings grow to $600 was the first time I realized, Oh, I can build something. At nine years old, I watched my mom build her forever home from the ground up. Even though life changed for our family after my parents’ divorce, that moment stuck with me. Seeing a Black woman build a home gave me confidence I didn’t even know I would need later in life. Both of my parents planted the seeds that grew into my passion for real estate and financial literacy.

Meet Kendra Broughton

I became a mom at 18. I navigated deployments, constant moves, financial challenges, and starting over after a divorce. I overcame trauma, rebuilt my career, rebuilt my confidence, and now — I’m building my legacy. Everything I teach is rooted in lived experience. I don’t coach from theory — I coach from life. I proudly served as a Patient Administration Specialist in the U.S. Army before transitioning into a career with the Department of Veterans Affairs, where I held several leadership and administrative roles. I obtained my Masters degree in Healthcare Administration with the goal to become a Hospital CEO before knowing and pursuing my true passion of building financial confidence in women and building communities through development. These are my forever callings.
